We are so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and were very excited to celebrate this year! The parade was fun for the kids this year. Dallin and Halley are turning into bigger kids and their attention spans are longer now. Regan and Kennedy just wanted to play and get out of the hot sun, as I expected. It was a good thing Mike was there to distract the little ones. Kennedy was so tired after the parade, that she found her thumb just as we loaded her into the car and went to sleep. It was so sweet! We barbequed at our house with Kate and Mike's family, Lureeta and Dave, and Grandma Pat. Regan and Dallin loved the fireworks, but Halley not so much. She is a little more sensitive and didn't like the loud noises. She just hid under the blanket the whole time. It was pretty sad. Maybe next year she will warm up to them.
